1. Russia registers ‘world’s first’ COVID-19 vaccine for animals

• The shot is hoped to help prevent the spread of virus mutations
• The vaccine for animals, developed by a unit of Rosselkhoznadzor, was named Carnivac-Cov.

2. Odisha government proposes state’s second biosphere reserve at Mahendragiri

• The Mahendragiri hills host a rich biodiversity of fauna and flora and are part of the Eastern Ghats
• The 5,569-square kilometre Similipal Biosphere Reserve is Odisha’s first such reserve and was notified May 20, 1996.
• The area of the proposed Biosphere Reserve is around 470,955 hectares and is spread over Gajapati and Ganjam districts in the Eastern Ghats.

3. Rajasthan becomes first state to provide health insurance for all its residents.

• Under the scheme, each family of the state will get an annual health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.
• People can get registered for Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme and be assured of cashless treatment

4. The ministry of road transport and Highways has set a new record by constructing 37 kilometre of Daily road

• The ministry of road transport and highways has constructed 13,394 km of highways in fiscal year 2020-21.
• Road Transport Ministry now eyes to construct over 40 km a day for current year

5. Tashkent to host 2023 men's boxing world championships

• The 2023 men's boxing World Championships will be held in Uzbekistan capital Tashkent.
