• Dr Krithi K Karanth is a Chief Conservation Scientist at Bengaluru-based Centre for Wildlife Studies.
• This award given by the WILD ELEMENTS Foundation.
• It brings together a coalition of innovators, advocates and partners to "disrupt the status quo and identify solutions to global sustainability and conservation.

ICICI Bank launches ‘Merchant Stack’, contactless digital banking platform.

• The tailormade platform enables merchants to meet their banking requirements seamlessly ensuring smooth functioning amid the pandemic.
• Merchants can avail these facilities instantly using the bank’s mobile banking application for businesses called 'InstaBIZ'.

China launches 1st section of its massive space station.

• The module, named Tianhe, or Harmony of the Heavens, was launched on the Long March 5B, China's largest carrier rocket.
• It is launched from the Wenchang Space Launch Centre on the southern island of Hainan.
• Tianhe is an important pilot project in the building of a powerful nation in both technology and in space.
