• The United World Wrestling (UWW), the governing body of the sport, has nominated Kumar.
• Ashok, who will officiate in his second consecutive Olympics.
• He is a UWW referees’ educator as well.

DRDO develops near isothermal forging technology for aeroengines' parts.

• This is a crucial technology for establishing self-reliance in aero engine technology.
• The technology has been developed by the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL),
• Which is a premier metallurgical laboratory of DRDO at Hyderabad.

World Health Organisation has signed a MoU with Switzerland to launch "biohub facility".

• This will enhance the rapid sharing of viruses and other pathogens between laboratories and partners globally.

Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar launched Directorate General National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mobile Training App Version 2.0.

• The app will assist in conducting countrywide online training to NCC cadets during the COVID-19 pandemic conditions.

• It is a Writer Consulting Program to train young and budding writers (under 30 years of age).
