Narendra Modi launched a customized "crash course program" worth Rs 276 crore for COVID-19 frontline workers.

  • The program will start in 111 training centers spread across 26 states.
  • The programme aims to skill and upskill over one lakh Covid warriors across the country.
  • The COVID warriors will be trained in six customized job roles such as
    • Home Care Support,
    • Basic Care Support,
    • Advance Care Support,
    • Emergency Care Support,
    • Sample Collection Support
    • and Medical Equipment Support.
  • The programme has been designed as a special programme under the Central Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 .



Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Arjun Munda launched the "AdiPrashikshan Portal".

  • The portal has been developed with the joint efforts of the Ministry, TRI Odisha and UNDP.
  • Its aim is to provide comprehensive information on training programmes held across the country.
  • Adi Prashikshan-Training for Tribals is an initiative to reach the remotest area using information technology
  • So that tribal communities are able to have access to their rights and benefits.



Cabinet approves "Deep Ocean Mission" to tap vast marine living and non-living resources.

  • The Union Cabinet has approved Rs 4,077 crore for the Deep Ocean Mission
  • To explore the depths of the Indian Ocean for commercially exploring such nodules.
  • It will be a mission mode project to support the blue economy Initiatives of the Government of India.



India has signed a $100 million loan agreement with Sri Lanka in the "solar energy sector".

  • The agreement was signed between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of India.
  • EXIM Bank is a specialized financial institution, wholly owned by the Government of India.
  • The LOC is for a period of 20 years, with an interest of 1.75%.



An MoU has been signed for the development of the "National Maritime Heritage Complex" at Lothal, Gujarat.

  • MoU has been signed between the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
  • NMHC will be dedicated to the maritime heritage of India
  • And this will showcase India’s rich as well as diverse maritime glory.
