IOC to set up India’s 1st green hydrogen plant at Mathura refinery.

• It aims to prepare for the future to meet the growing demand for both oil and clean forms of energy.
• Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) aims to make major inroads in petrochemicals, hydrogen and electric mobility in next 10 years
• Green hydrogen production - the ultimate clean hydrogen resource - uses renewable energy to make hydrogen fuel.
• Hydrogen is the latest buzzword to meet the world's energy needs.
• Hydrogen, itself is a clean fuel, but its manufacture is energy-intensive and contains carbon byproducts.

Punjab has become the 1st state in the country to implement the "SOHAM AABR" system.

• Launched Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR) system under Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
• This would be to effectively screen the hearing loss in newborns and young children.
• These devices will be available at 22 newborn centers across Punjab.
• Hearing loss is one of the major birth defects in children
• In a developing country like India, five to six children per thousand are born with this defect.

Govt has set up an investment accelerator to promote and facilitate investment in the dairy sector.

• The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), with a dedicated focus towards promoting and
• facilitating investment in the Indian dairy sector, has set up Dairy Investment Accelerator under its Investment Facilitation Cell.
• The Dairy sector has seen substantial foreign direct investment (FDI) constituting about 40% of FDIs Indian food sector.

Maharashtra to be 1st state in country to issue educational documents using blockchain technology.

• Maharashtra will be the world's largest user of blockchain.
• Singapore, Malta and Bahrain are the only countries using this technology.
• Each student will receive a certificate_legitdoc.zip digital file containing the original PDF diploma certificate and its associated blockchain proof file, said Neil, CEO of technology provider LegitDoc.
• It can be verified from anywhere in the world within 10 seconds and does not require human intervention.
• These steps are being taken to avoid forgery with the verification of documents.
