India's Priya Malik won the gold medal at the 2021 World Cadet Wrestling Championships.

• Malik, who won the women's 73kg category, defeated Ksenia Patapovich 5-0 in the summit clash at the World Cadet Championships in Hungary.
• Priya Malik had also won a gold medal in the 2019 edition of Khelo India in Pune.
• And then she won a gold medal in the 17th School Games held in Delhi.

The "Kakatiya Rudreshwar Temple" of Telangana is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

• The Rudreshwar Temple (also known as Ramappa Temple) of Telangana has been tagged as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
• The decision was taken at the 44th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee on 25 July.
• Ramappa Temple, a 13th-century engineering marvel named after its architect – Ramappa,
• was proposed by the government as the sole nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage Site tag for the year 2019.

Ministry of Women and Child Development launched web based portal "pmcaresforchildren.in".

• To facilitate the submission of applications, identification of eligible children for getting assistance under PM Cares for Children scheme.
• The objective of the scheme is to ensure comprehensive care and protection of orphan children.

Home Minister Amit Shah planted trees in Behshari, Meghalaya under the Sohra Afforestation Project.
