"Kar De Tu Kamal": India's Paralympics 2020 Official Theme launched by Sports Minister.

  • Sports Minister Anurag Thakur launched the official song of India's Paralympic contingent ahead of Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020.
  • The song Kar De Kamaal Tu is composed and sung by a Divyang cricket player Sanjeev Singh.
  • A record number of 54 para athletes are going to compete in nine different sports at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.



Aviation ministry permits Haryana's Directorate of Urban Local Bodies to use drones.

  • For mapping of 18 urban areas for infrastructure development under Centre's AMRUT scheme.
  • Exemptions have been allowed for the implementation of data acquisition, mapping and
  • web-based GIS platform for development of AMRUT cities and property tax survey for Hisar, Panchkula, Ambala urban areas.
  • This exemption is valid for a period of one year from the date of approval or till further orders.



IndusInd Bank is listed as Agency Bank for Government Business.

  • It is listed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to function as an agency bank to facilitate transactions relating to government businesses.
  • This will strengthen the bank's presence in the public sector.
  • As an empanelled agency bank, IndusInd Bank can now be authorised to handle transactions pertaining on behalf of the state and Union government.



Haryana has secured the 1st position in the country with 100 % score in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) system.

  • The CCTNS system was implemented by the Union Home Ministry to reduce the incidence of crime across the country
  • And under this system, the state police will have to actively upgrade their functioning as per the latest technology under certain parameters.
  • Haryana Police has secured the 1st position,
  • while Gujarat has secured the 2nd position with 99.9 per cent marks
  • And Himachal Pradesh has secured the 3rd position with 99.6 per cent marks.



According to recently released report suicide cases have increased by 24% due to unemployment.

  • According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, there has been a 24 % increase in the number of suicide cases registered due to unemployment from 2016 to 2019.
  • NCRB records state that 2,851 people died by suicide in the country in 2019 due to unemployment.
  • For 2016 the figure was 2,298.
  • Karnataka recorded the highest number of suicides due to unemployment (553) in 2019, followed by Maharashtra (452) and Tamil Nadu (251).
  • According to the data, 24,568 children, including 13,325 girls in the age group of 14-18 years, died by suicide from 2017 to 2019.
