Gujarat CM launched eNagar mobile application and portal.

  • eNagar comprises of 10 modules with 52 services including property tax, professional tax, water and drainage, grievances and grievance redressal, building permission, fire and emergency services.
  • Gujarat Urban Development Mission has been appointed as a nodal agency for the eNagar project.
  • A total of 170 locations including 162 municipalities and 8 municipal corporations have been covered under the eNagar project.



China has opened a new terminal at Lhasa Airport in Tibet.

  • This new terminal, the largest terminal in Tibet, has been opened to further expand the transportation infrastructure in the strategic Himalayan region.
  • This will help Tibet to emerge as a global logistics hub for South Asia.
  • The new terminal will give a significant boost to passenger and cargo transport.
  • The airport expansion project was completed at a cost of USD 603 million.



The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has announced to organize India's 1st Internet Governance Forum.

  • It is an Internet governance policy discussion forum to bring together representatives of various groups to discuss public policy issues related to the Internet.
  • Pre-IIGF engagement events will start from August 2021 in many colleges and universities.
  • The pre-events aim to engage students and youth in the main event in October and involve them in the policy making phases.
  • IIGF- 2021 will be planned for three days from October 20, 2021.
  • The theme of this year's meeting is Inclusive Internet for Digital India.

  • Veteran author, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, Sudha Murthy has launched her new book How the Earth Got Its Beauty.
  • The book was published by Puffin and features illustrations by Priyanka Pachpande.
  • Sudha Murthy is the chairperson of Infosys Foundation and wife of Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy.



The Govt of Kerala launched the COVID-19 Death Information Portal.

  • The Government of Kerala has launched COVID-19 Death Information Portal in the state to maintain and manage proper records of the number of deaths due to coronavirus infection.
  • The COVID-19 Death Information Portal will be accessible to both government agencies and the public in Kerala.
  • Public will be able to view details about their deceased family members, friends and relatives by entering name, district and date of death on the portal.
  • The portal will assist government agencies in verifying the authenticity of death declaration documents issued by District Medical Offices (DMOs).
  • Currently, the portal will show the COVID-19 deaths in the state till July 22, 2021. Any deaths after July 22, 2021 will be updated soon.
