IFSCA constitutes an expert committee on sustainable finance.

  • The International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA) has constituted an expert committee to recommend approaches towards development of sustainable finance hubs in IFSC.
  • The expert committee will be chaired by Shri C.K. Mishra, Former Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
  • The committee will study the current regulatory practices in sustainable finance in major international financial jurisdictions and recommend a robust framework for developing a world-class sustainable finance center in IFSC, along with a road map for the same.
  • IFSCA was established by the Ministry of Finance as the unified regulator of all financial products, financial services and financial institutions in International Financial Services Centers (IFSCs) in India.
  • IFSCA Headquarter :- Gandhinagar, Gujarat.



Government launched the 7th edition of Swachh Survekshan.

  • The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the 7th consecutive edition of Swachh Survekshan (SS) with the theme People First as its driving philosophy.
  • Swachh Survekshan is the largest urban sanitation survey in the world and is conducted by Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U).
  • The 7th edition i.e. Swachh Survekshan 2022 was launched by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in New Delhi.
  • A new version of the Swachhta App, the Digital Sanitation Grievance Redressal Platform by MoHUA launched in 2016, was also launched by the Minister.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 38th Pragati meeting.

  • The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, chaired the 38th PRAGATI meeting on September 29, 2021 to review a number of projects, grievances and programs of the Central and State Governments.
  • 8 projects with a cumulative cost of about Rs 50,000 crore were reviewed in the meeting.
  • 297 projects costing Rs. 14.39 lakh crore has been reviewed so far in the last 37 PRAGATI meetings.
  • PRAGATI stands for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation.



Mukesh Ambani topped the Hurun India Rich List 2021 for the 10th year in a row.

  • Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List for the 10th year in a row. His net worth was recorded at Rs 7,18,000 crore in 2021.
  • Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani is at the 2nd position with a net worth of Rs. 5,05,900 crores.
  • Shiv Nadar and HCL Technologies family ranks third on the list with assets of Rs 2,36,600 crore.
  • Hurun India Rich List 2021 includes 1,007 individuals from 119 cities with a net worth of Rs 1,000 crore



Uttarakhand’s 1st And North India’s Largest Palmatum (Place To Grow The Tree Variety "Palm") Was Inaugurated In Haldwani.

  • Uttarakhand Forest Department dedicated the state's 1st and largest palmetum in North India to the people at Haldwani, Nainital.
  • Palmatum took over 3 years to grow and has over 110 species of palm.
  • It was developed under the CAMPA scheme.
  • Palmatum has palm species under various IUCN categories of critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable among others.
  • The palm species that is endemic to Uttarakhand is called Trachycarpus takil (Takil palm), which can survive sub-zero temperatures.
