India's 1st credit card made from recycled PVC plastic launched by HSBC.

HSBC India has launched India's first credit card made from recycled PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) plastic.
The cards are introduced in partnership with global card maker IDEMIA to gradually phase out single-use PVC plastics.
The cards are made from 85 percent recycled plastic and each card will save 3.18 grams of plastic waste in addition to helping reduce overall carbon emissions.

Nagaland Police has launched a mobile application named Call Your Cop for its citizens on 29th November 2021.
The app was developed by Excellogics Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd.
The Call Your Police mobile app will enable citizens, especially those in distress, to call the force which will now be just a call away.
Features in the app include a directory, alerts, tourist suggestions, SOS, nearest police station and search.
Users can download the Call Your Cop mobile app from the Google Store on any Android phone.
The app can be downloaded from Google Store.

Varanasi, a city in Uttar Pradesh is set to become the 1st Indian city to introduce ropeway service as a mode of public transport to ease traffic congestion.
The proposed ropeway will be constructed between Cantt Railway Station (Varanasi Junction) to Church Square (Godauliya) covering an aerial distance of 3.45 km.
Its outlay is over Rs 400 crore which is split between the central government and the state government at 80:20.
India will be the 3rd country in the world after Bolivia and Mexico to use a ropeway for public transport.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has constituted a three-member committee to review the criteria for reservation for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category with reference to the provisions of Explanation to Article 15 of the Constitution.
The committee has been asked to complete its work within three weeks. Former Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey will be the chairman of the committee.
The announcement to appoint a committee and revisit the EWS reservation criteria comes after the intervention of the Supreme Court.
The SC is hearing petitions challenging a government notice issued in July providing for 10 per cent EWS quota in NEET admissions.

Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d'Or for the seventh time after being named by France Football as the best player of 2021.
Messi scored 41 goals and recorded 17 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions for club and country and led Argentina to the long-awaited Copa America victory in the summer.
Messi also won in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
The 34-year-old scored 38 goals in 48 appearances for Barcelona last season and won the Copa del Rey before captaining Argentina in July.
