Indian Teenage brothers wins 2021 International Children’s Peace Prize for waste project.

  • Two teenage brothers Vihaan (17) and Nav Agarwal (14) from Delhi have won the 17th annual KidsRights International Children's Peace Prize for tackling pollution in their home city by recycling household waste.
  • The duo received the prestigious award by Indian Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi.
  • Vihaan and Nav have developed a One Step Greener initiative to segregate waste from thousands of homes, schools and offices and organize garbage collection.
  • The International Children's Peace Prize is given annually by KidsRights, an international child rights organization based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
  • It is awarded to a child who has made a significant contribution to advocating for children's rights and improving the condition of vulnerable children such as orphans, child laborers and children with HIV/AIDS.



IIT Guwahati to join hands with Oil India Ltd, to tech in the energy sector.

  • IT Guwahati: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will collaborate with Oil India Limited (OIL) on the development and introduction of new technologies, energy and related sectors.
  • The partnership will also focus on existing technology transfer, knowledge up-gradation, and collaboration in innovation partnerships, training and skill development, and other areas of mutual agreement.
  • The MoU with OIL will pave a new avenue for exploring various opportunities in applied and translational research for the sustainable energy sector.



Paytm Money Launches AI-Powered "Voice Trading".

  • Paytm announced the launch of Voice Trading through its wholly owned subsidiary, Paytm Money.
  • Voice trading enables users to conduct trades or obtain information about a stock with a single voice command.
  • The service has been launched in line with Paytm Money's efforts to offer next generation and AI-powered technology to enhance the user experience.
  • The voice trading feature enables a single voice command to allow immediate processing with the use of neural networks and natural language processing (NLP).



India sign a loan agreement of USD 61 million with ADB for development projects in Agartala.

  • The central government has entered into an agreement with multilateral funding agency Asian Development Bank for a USD 61 million (about Rs 454 crore) loan to fund development projects in Agartala, Tripura.
  • The fund will be used for a project that aims to upgrade urban infrastructure services and improve livability in Agartala with provision for better road connectivity, flood resistant measures and making tourist destinations more attractive.



India, Singapore and Thailand trilateral maritime exercise SITMEX-21 held in Andaman Sea.

  • The third edition of the trilateral maritime exercise named SITMEX-21 is being conducted in the Andaman Sea from 15 to 16 November 21.
  • Navies of India, Singapore and Thailand will participate in the event.
  • Indian Naval Ship (INS) Karmuk is participating in the 3rd edition from India. This is an indigenously made missile corvette.
  • The event is being hosted by the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) in the Andaman Sea, with an aim to enhance cooperation between the participating navies towards enhancing overall maritime security in the region.
