- GAIL (India) Limited has undertaken India's 1st of its kind project of Hydrogen Blending in Natural Gas System at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
- GAIL will supply this hydrogen blended natural gas to Avantika Gas Limited for retail sale of CNG to automobiles and piped natural gas to households in Indore.
- Avantika Gas Limited is a joint venture between GAIL and HPCL.
- India has committed to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
- Combining hydrogen with renewable energy will help achieve this goal.
PR Sreejesh wins the World Games Athlete of the Year award 2021.
- Indian men's hockey player PR Sreejesh has won the 2021 World Games Athlete of the Year award.
- She is the 2nd Indian after Rani Rampal to win this award. She won the award in 2020.
- A total of 24 athletes from 17 countries were nominated for the annual awards based on individual or team performance.

NPCI to observe February 2022 as "UPI Safety and Awareness Month".
- The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the UPI ecosystem have announced a UPI security and awareness initiative.
- Under this initiative, NPCI and the UPI ecosystem will observe February 1-7 as UPI Safety and Awareness Week and the whole of February as UPI Safety and Awareness Month.
- NPCI has urged users to follow the concept of UPI Security Shield which mentions 5 tips for secure UPI transactions.
Chennai Super Kings becomes India’s 1st Unicorn Sports Enterprise.
- Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has become the 1st sports unicorn in the country with a market cap to touch an all-time high of Rs 7,600 crore and share in gray market trading in the Rs 210-225 price band.
- Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK, which won its 4th IPL title in Dubai last year, now has a higher market cap than its parent unit India Cements.
