Hyderabad gets India's 1st open rock museum.

Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology inaugurated India's 1st Open Rock Museum in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The museum displays about 35 different types of rocks from different parts of India ranging in age from 3.3 billion years to about 55 million years of Earth's history.
Open Rock Museum, established with the aim of educating and enlightening the public about many lesser-known facts, displays about 35 different types of rocks from different parts of India.
These rocks also represent the deepest part of the Earth, up to 175 km from the Earth's surface.
The rocks have been obtained from Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir and others.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, approved Malik's promotion with a majority of five votes against four.
This is the second time that the JCP held a meeting to decide on Justice Malik's elevation.
Justice Malik's name had 1st cropped up before the JCP on September 9 last year, but the panel was equally divided, resulting in rejection of his candidature.

Six Indo-Pacific nations are participating in the multinational exercise Sea Dragon 22, which began on January 05, 2022 at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam in the Western Pacific.
The six nations navies that are participating in the exercise are the Quad nations (United States, Australia, India and Japan), Canada and South Korea. /li>
Sea Dragon is a US-led multi-national exercise focused on anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training and excellence to conduct simultaneously in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has voted to appoint Haitham al-Ghis as its new Secretary-General.
Kuwaiti candidate Haitham Al-Ghis will assume office for a period of three years with effect from 01 August 2022.
He will succeed Mohamed Sanusi Barkindo of Nigeria, who has been in the position since August 01, 2016.
He was the OPEC governor of Kuwait from 2017 to June 2021.

SBI General Insurance has launched an awareness campaign named #BahaneChhodoTaxBachao.
The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness among people about saving tax by buying health insurance.
#BahaneChhodoTaxBachao will also highlight other benefits of choosing health insurance.
The campaign includes videos in Vox Pop format with anchor Rudraksh Singh.
