Brazil landscape garden Sitio Burle Marx receives UNESCO World Heritage status.

• The Sitio Burle Marx site, a landscape garden in Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro has been added to UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites.
• The garden features more than 3,500 species of plants native to Rio and is considered a laboratory for botanical and landscape experimentation.
• The site has been named after Burle Marx, a Brazilian landscape architect whose designs of parks and gardens made him world-famous.
• The Sitio Burle Marx site was his home until 1985.

Snow leopard conservationist Charudutt Mishra wins Whitley Gold Award.

• Noted snow leopard expert and wildlife conservationist Charudutt Mishra has won the prestigious Whitley Gold Award.
• He has won the Award for his contribution to involving indigenous communities in the conservation and recovery of big cat species in Asia’s high mountain ecosystems.
• Princess Anne presented the award to Mishra at London’s Royal Geographic Society.
• This is his second Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) Award.
• He got the first in 2005.

Glenmark receives the "India Pharma Innovation of the Year" award.

• Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Glenmark), an innovation-driven, global pharmaceutical company, received the India Pharma Innovation of the Year Award.
• It was adjudged runners-up in the India Pharma CSR of the Year category, as part of the India Pharma & India Medical Device Awards 2022.
• Indian Pharma Leader of the Year: Cipla Ltd.
• Indian Pharma (Formulation): Micro Labs Ltd.
• Indian Pharma CSR of the year: Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.

Google signed deal with Telangana for the digital economy.

• Google has signed a MoU with the Telangana Government to provide benefits of digital economy to the youth and women entrepreneurs.
• The state government has been working with Google since 2017 on improving digital literacy.
• Google and WE Hub, Govt. of Telangana, will jointly carry out Women Will programme to deliver digital, business, and financial skills to nano, micro, and small women-led businesses.

Ardeshir B K Dubash receives highest diplomatic award by Peru.

• The former Honorary Consul of Peru in Mumbai, Ardeshir B.K. Dubash has received the Order of Merit in the Diplomatic Service of Peru Jose Gregorio Paz Soldan by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
• Ambassador of Peru in India, H.E. Carlos R. Polo has conferred the award to him.
• Dubash was designated as Honorary Consul of Peru in 1973.
• The Order of Merit was instituted in 2004, named after José Gregorio Paz Soldán.
