Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurates 13 new districts.

• The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated 13 new districts in the state on April 04, 2022.
• The new districts have been carved out from the existing 13 districts.
• With this, the total number of districts in the state have increased to 26 district.

Tata Group to launch its super app Tata Neu on April 07, 2022.

• The salt-to-software conglomerate, Tata Group has announced to launch its one-stop mobile app called Tata Neu, on April 07, 2022.
• Tata Neu is being launched as a supper app where users can find everything, from groceries to gadgets, and getaways.
• App will enable users to access all digital services and apps offered by Tata Group such as booking AirAsia flights, booking hotels at Taj Group, ordering groceries from Bigbasket and many other services.
• Payments can be made instantly for any online and in-store purchases, utility bills & more, using Tata Pay, a United Payments Interface (UPI)-based digital payments service.
• The Tata Neu App will give a stiff competition to likes of Amazon, Flipkart and Jio Platforms in the consumer digital economy space.

UNHRC appoints Tuvalu negotiator Dr Ian Fry as first climate change expert.

• The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has appointed Dr Ian Fry as the world’s 1st independent expert for human rights and climate change.
• Dr Fry has been appointed for a period of three years. He holds dual citizenship of Tuvalu and Australia.
• The position of Special Rapporteur for human rights and climate change was created by UNHRC in October 2021.
• The new independent expert will have the mandate to "study and identify how the adverse effects of climate change, including sudden and slow onset disasters, affect the full and effective enjoyment of human rights and make recommendations on how to address and prevent these adverse effects".

A new book "Crunch Time: Narendra Modi’s National Security Crises" by Sreeram Chaulia.

• Dr Sreeram Chauliahas authored a new book titled Crunch Time: Narendra Modi’s National Security Crises.
• The book was released by Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs at the India International Centre in New Delhi, Delhi.
• The book highlights the much needed public faith in the state to protect the country from security threats posed by India’s external adversaries.
• The book analyses PM Modi’s series of decision-making moves during the crises with China and Pakistan.

Flipkart Foundation launched for growth of rural area and women.

• Homegrown e-commerce giant, The Flipkart Group has constituted and launched the Flipkart Foundation, a new platform with focus on development in rural areas and providing equitable access to growth opportunities for women and other disadvantaged communities.
• The Flipkart Foundation aims to positively influence 20 million lives directly and indirectly in the coming decade across a wide array of areas by utilising Flipkart’s learnings over the years
• The operations of Flipkart Foundation will be grant-based.
• The contributions will come from the Flipkart Group and through the Charity Checkout feature available on Flipkart platforms.
• The Flipkart Foundation will engage with diverse stakeholders to enable transformational development work for society and the economy, by offering support to underprivileged sections of society and make them a part of the country’s growth story.
