  • These vacuums will be used in public places.
  • The work of sewer connection is estimated at Rs 100 crore.
  • Sixty thousand houses have been connected with a 53 km long sewer line.
  • It will be maintained by a company from Netherlands.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates India's first dairy community radio "Dudh Vani".

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched India’s First Dairy Community Radio Dudh Vani during his Gujarat Visit.
  • This radio station will link around five lakh dairy producers in 1,700 communities across Gujarat.
  • This is the nation’s first community radio station that is dedicated solely to the cattle breeders.
  • The Dudh Vani Community Radio Station has been established with the aim of offering the farmers essential scientific information that is relevant to animal husbandry and agriculture.



Maruti Suzuki India joins hands with Indian Bank to facilitate easy finance.

  • Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has joined hands with Indian Bank to facilitate easy finance for customers.
  • As part of the partnership, the company’s customers can avail loan benefits in over 5,700 plus branches of Indian Bank at metro, urban, semi-urban and rural locations.
  • They can avail loans up to 90 percent of the on-road price of the car.
  • The scheme is open till June 30, 2022.



Vijay Sampla appointed chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes.

  • BJP leader and former Union minister Vijay Sampla has been appointed as the chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) for a second time.
  • The official order for his appointment was issued by President Ram Nath Kovind.
  • Sampla, a prominent Dalit politician from Punjab, began his political career in 1998 as the sarpanch of Sofipind village in Jalandhar Cantonment.
  • He has also served in the Punjab government.
  • He was the chairman of Punjab Khadi Board from 2008 to 2012 and the chairman of the Punjab State Forest Development Corporation in 2014.



Himachal Pradesh govt signs MoU for development of seven ropeway projects.

  • Himachal Pradesh government has signed an MoU for the development of seven ropeway projects in Kangra, Kullu, Chamba, Sirmour and Bilaspur districts.
  • The MoU was signed between Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation (RTDC) HP Limited and National Highways Logistic Management Limited (NHLML).
  • The MoU was signed in the presence of road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari and chief minister Jai Ram Thakur in New Delhi.
