IG Drones awarded "Best Drone Organization - Start-up Category" by Airwards.

• The Delhi-based leading Drone enterprise platform company IG Drones has been felicitated with the Best Drone Organization – Start-up Category by Airwards.
• IG Drones was selected for the award for its approach to helping local communities and providing access to technology to diverse stakeholders during natural disasters and disasters.
• Airwards is the first panoptic global awards programme of its kind dedicated to identifying, recognising and championing the breadth of positive drone use cases from around the world which are innovative, safe and having a real-world impact.

American sprinter and Olympic champion Sidney McLaughlin sets a new record in the 400m hurdles.

• Olympic Champion Sydney McLaughlin broke her own world record in the 400-meter hurdles at the US outdoor track and field championships.
• She crossed the finish line at Hayward Field in 51.41 seconds, breaking her own record of 51.46 set last year at the Tokyo Games, where she won the gold medal.
• She previously set the record with a 51.90-seconds performance at the U.S. Olympic trials a year ago, only to shatter that figure in Tokyo, collecting gold in 51.46.

Laser-guided anti-tank missile (ATGM) successfully test fired from Arjun tank at KK range in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army successfully tested indigenously-developed anti-tank guided missile at KK range in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar.
• The test was conducted at the KK Ranges with support of Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) of the Army which is based in Ahmednagar.
• The all-indigenous ATGM employs a tandem High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) warhead to defeat Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) protected armoured vehicles.
• The ATGM has been developed with multi-platform launch capability and is currently undergoing technical evaluation trials from 120 mm rifled gun of MBT Arjun.

Menar village of Udaipur district to be declared as new wetland of Rajasthan.

• Menar village in Udaipur district, recognized as Bird Village after various conservation efforts, has been decided to be notified as the new wetland of Rajasthan.
• This will pave the way for this rural area of Mewar region to get the status of Ramsar site.
• Presently there are two wetlands recognized as Ramsar sites in Rajasthan - Keoladeo Ghana in Bharatpur District and Sambhar Salt Lake in Jaipur District.
• Wetlands are seasonal or permanent ecosystems located in water.
• The State government's Forest Department has initiated the process for notification of Menar as a wetland.

Akash Ambani became the new chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm after the resignation of Mukesh Ambani.

• The board of directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. has approved the appointment of Akash M. Ambani, non-executive director, as chairman of the board.
• His father Mukesh D Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), had resigned as director of Reliance Jio Infocomm.
• Pankaj Mohan Pawar has been appointed as MD of the company for period of five years.
