India's 1st and world's 10th unique blood group EMM negative found in Gujarat.

In a first, a new blood group has been found in India, which is also the rarest in the world.
A 65-year-old man from Gujarat who is a heart patient has been identified with EMM negative blood group, a unique blood type which cannot be categorized into the existing groups of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘O’ or ‘AB’.
In general, there are four types of blood groups in the human body, which further consist of 42 types of systems, like A, B, O, Rh and Duffy.
There are also 375 types of antigens in which EMM is high.
Due to the lack of EMM in the blood, the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) has named it EMM negative.
People with such rarest blood groups can neither donate their blood to anyone, nor can they acquire it from anyone.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has launched the second P17A stealth frigate Dunagiri into the Hooghly River in Kolkata.
The Project 17A frigate is built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders Limited (GRSE).
Kala Hari Kumar, President, Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA) performed the traditional honours and named the ship Dunagiri.
Christened after a mountain range in the state of Uttarakhand, Dunagiri is the fourth ship of P17A frigates.
These are a follow-on of the P17 Frigates (Shivalik Class) with improved stealth features, advanced weapons and sensors and platform management systems.
The first two ships of the P17A Project were launched in 2019 and 2020 at MDL and GRSE respectively.
The third ship (Udaygiri) was launched at MDL on 17 May 22 earlier this year.

Tokyo, the capital city of Japan will host the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
This was decided by the World Athletics Council during its meeting in Oregon, United States on July 14, 2022.
The 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships will be held in Medulin and Pula in Croatia and 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships will be held in Tallahassee, Florida.

Bharti Airtel has completed a successful trial of the country’s 1st 5G private network at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ facility at Bengaluru.
The trial comes ahead of a 5G spectrum auction this month and amid a battle among telecom and IT companies on spectrum allotment for private networks.
Last year, Airtel successfully demonstrated India's 1st 5G experience over a live 4G network in Hyderabad.
It has also demonstrated India's 1st rural 5G trial as well as the first cloud gaming experience on 5G.

The 18th edition of the World Athletics Championships has been started in Eugene, Oregon (USA) from July 15 until July 24.
This marks the first occasion the event will be hosted by the United States and a massive pool of athletes will be seen competing across 49 events.
Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra is leading India.
India has sent a strong 22-member contingent to the prestigious World Championships.
In all, 200 athletes from over 200 countries are participating in the World Championships in Athletics.
The representatives of the Indian side in the long jump are Murali Sreeshankar and Jessvin Aldrin.
