Indian Army Installs First Mobile Tower on Siachen Glacier.

• The Siachen Glacier, known as the world’s highest battlefield.
• It has witnessed a groundbreaking development with the installation of a mobile tower.
• The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army, in collaboration with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), achieved this remarkable feat.
• This strategic installation promises to bridge the communication gap for the soldiers stationed in one of the harshest terrains on Earth.
• The aim is to enhance the well-being of the courageous soldiers who protect the nation in this perilous setting.

Kerala’s 1st 3D-printed building to be inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram.

• Recently, the state's first 3D-printed building was inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
• This building has been built in the premises of Kerala State Manufacturing Centre.
• This building has been named Amaze-28.
• The building has been constructed by Chennai-based startup Tvasta.
• 3D printing is called additive manufacturing.
• In this technique, layer-by-layer manufacturing is done using computer generated designs.
• It is noteworthy that the country's first 3D post office was opened in Bengaluru in September 2023.

IOC accepts inclusion of Cricket in 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

• The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has accepted the recommendation of including T20 cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
• This decision was made during the IOC’s executive board meeting in Mumbai.
• The IOC included T20, the shortest format of the game, along with 4 other sports – baseball/softball, flag football, squash and lacrosse.
• However, all sports must undergo voting by IOC members to be guaranteed a place at the 2028 Games.

NTPC becomes only Indian PSU to feature in Forbes "World’s Best Employers 2023" List.

• India’s largest integrated energy conglomerate, NTPC Limited, has been recognized as one of the World’s Best Employers 2023 in the Forbes World’s Best Employers list.
• It ranked 261st out of top 700 companies in the World ranking and is the only Indian PSU to figure in the list.

CM Hemant Soren unveils Mascot and trophy for Asian Women's Hockey Championship.

• Chief Minister Hemant Soren today unveiled the mascot- Juhi and the trophy of Asian Women's Hockey Championship in Ranchi.
• Around 13 countries will take part in the international hockey championship beginning from October 27 to November 14 in Ranchi.
