Kerala’s 1st 3D-printed building to be inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram.
- Recently, the state's first 3D-printed building was inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
- This building has been built in the premises of Kerala State Manufacturing Centre.
- This building has been named Amaze-28.
- The building has been constructed by Chennai-based startup Tvasta.
- 3D printing is called additive manufacturing.
- In this technique, layer-by-layer manufacturing is done using computer generated designs.
- It is noteworthy that the country's first 3D post office was opened in Bengaluru in September 2023.
IOC accepts inclusion of Cricket in 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has accepted the recommendation of including T20 cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
- This decision was made during the IOC’s executive board meeting in Mumbai.
- The IOC included T20, the shortest format of the game, along with 4 other sports – baseball/softball, flag football, squash and lacrosse.
- However, all sports must undergo voting by IOC members to be guaranteed a place at the 2028 Games.
