Uttar Pradesh becomes second-largest economy in India.

UPI transactions grew from ₹ 1 lakh cr to ₹ 139 lakh cr in 6 years.

  • UPI transactions grew from ₹ 1 lakh crore in FY 2017-18 to ₹ 139 lakh crore in FY 2022-23 in value, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 168%.
  • UPI has achieved 8,572 crore transactions during current financial year.
  • UPI has been the major driving force in the overall growth of digital payment transactions in the country accounting for 62% of digital payment transactions in FY 2022-23.


Andhra Pradesh ranked 1st in agri-marketing reforms: Niti Aayog.

  • Andhra Pradesh has secured the first spot with a score of 94 in this year’s reform index released recently by the Aayog.
  • With a score of 92, U.P. has been ranked second.
  • Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have performed better than other Indian states.
  • Niti Aayog launched the index in 2016 to rank states and UTs based on the implementation of provisions proposed under the model APMC Act.

Khelo India Games to be Held in Tamil Nadu.

  • Khelo India Games will be held in Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Coimbatore,Madurai and Trichy) from 19 to 31 January, 2024.
  • More than 5,500 sports persons and over 1,600 coaches are expected to participate in the event.
  • More than 1000 referees and 1200 volunteers will be part of the sporting event in which 27 types of sport will be played.
  • For the first time, squash will be included in Khelo India games.
