Hatee tribe of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh received ST status.

• The Hatee community in Trans-Giri, Sirmaur district, has been granted Scheduled Tribe status by the Himachal Pradesh government.
• After clarifications from the Centre and cabinet approval, the notification was issued and will be personally announced by the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister.
• The Lok Sabha passed the inclusion of Hatee community in the list of Scheduled Tribes in December 2022

India, Pakistan conducted exchange of list of nuclear installations.

• Maintaining a 30+ year tradition, India and Pakistan exchanged lists of their respective nuclear facilities, as per an agreement prohibiting attacks on each other's atomic sites.
• This marked the 33rd consecutive year of this exchange, instated by an agreement signed in 1988 and enacted in 1991, aimed at promoting nuclear non-aggression.

ISRO launched maiden X-ray Polarimeter Satellite to probe Black Holes.

• ISRO successfully launched X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) aboard PSLV-C58 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
• Marks India's first dedicated scientific mission to study cosmic X-ray polarization, focusing on black holes and neutron stars.
• XPoSat's mission life is estimated at five years; India becomes the second nation globally with a dedicated astronomy observatory for this purpose.

Kerala launched K-Smart: local bodies go digital, service at fingertip.

• K-Smart, an e-governance initiative, digitizes all local government services accessible through a mobile platform.
• Inaugurated by CM Pinarayi Vijayan on January 1, 2024.
• Developed by the Information Kerala Mission for the Local Self-Government Department, the platform covers various services like certificates, permits, and complaints.

The floating AC restaurant on the banks of the Yamuna River in Prayag.

• Tourism Development Corporation has engaged chefs to offer new varieties of continental and other delicacies. Inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath.
• UPSTDC has brought six 6-seater speed boats, two 30-seater catamaran hulls, 10 motor boats, and two rescue boats to promote tourism.
• The opening of UP's first floating restaurant is expected to boost Prayagraj's place on the tourist map.
