Foundation laid for northeast’s 1st naturopathy hospital in Dibrugarh.

  • AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma initiated the construction of the first yoga and naturopathy hospital in Northeast India.
  • Approximately ₹100 crore to be invested in the Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) in Assam's Dibrugarh district.
  • Focussed on integrating traditional knowledge of yoga and naturopathy with modern technology.


India extended $1 million emergency relief to Papua New Guinea.

  • India dispatched $1 million worth of emergency relief to aid Papua New Guinea following a volcanic eruption.
  • Relief consignments were airlifted by Australian Air Force including 11 tonnes of disaster relief material and 6 tonnes of medical aid.
  • Ulawun volcano's eruption on November 20 prompted the evacuation of thousands, marking its first significant eruption in years.


Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso quit West African bloc "ECOWAS".

  • Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso announced their withdrawal from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
  • Relations between the bloc and the three countries have been tense after military coups took place in Niger in July, Burkina Faso in 2022 and Mali in 2020.
  • Ecowas urged the countries to return to civilian rule, expressing commitment to finding a negotiated solution.

International Literature Festival of Kerala commenced in in Thrissur.

  • The theme is Literature, culture and progress.
  • The festival has been organized by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi in association with the Kerala State Cultural department.
  • Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan virtually inaugurated the event in Thrissur, Kerala.
  • Around 500 writers, critics & social activists attended the 100-odd sessions of this event.
