AIIMS Delhi introduced advanced surgery for skin cancer treatment.

• AIIMS Delhi introduced Mohs micrographic surgery, an advanced technique for skin cancer treatment.
• This technique offers precise tumor removal with minimal damage to healthy tissue, resulting in better healing and lower recurrence rates.
• AIIMS Delhi is the first hospital in India to provide this surgery, eliminating the need for patients to travel abroad for treatment.

"Because She Can" secured three wins at the 2024 Anthem Awards.

• Because She Can, a nonprofit movement led by Divya Jain, won Gold in Community Outreach category and Silver in Community Event category at the 2024 Anthem Awards.
• The movement's podcast, hosted by Divya, Neha Joshi, and Stuti Gupta, stood out among 2000 entries from 44 countries.
• Because She Can aims to empower women through storytelling, conversations, and skilling initiatives.

India finished 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament with 8 medals.

• Amit Panghal and Sachin Kumar clinched gold medals in the 51kg and 57kg categories respectively at the 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament.
• Nikhat Zareen, Arundhati Choudhary, Barun Singh Shagolshem, and Rajat settled for silver medals in their respective weight categories.
• Akash and Naveen Kumar signed off with bronze medals, bringing India's total medal tally to 8.

Union Cabinet gave nod for spectrum auction.

• The Union government approved spectrum auctions in eight bands, putting them up for sale to telecom companies.
• The auction of telecom spectrum for airwaves amounted to a cumulative reserve price of ₹96317 crore.
• Some spectrum has been assigned for rail safety.
• The spectrum will be in the 800, 900, 1,800, 2,100, 2,300, 2,500 and 3,300 megahertz, as well as in the 26 gigahertz bands.

Meghalaya CM inaugurates "MeghFarm" processing hub.

• Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma inaugurated the MeghFarm Processing Hub and Tikrikilla PRIME Hub at Khamari, Tikrikilla, West Garo Hills.
• The Hub with a capacity of 80 to 100 tons will ensure that the agricultural produce is preserved to the highest standards.
• The project has been established at the cost of Rs 14.5 crore.
• Govt. plans to set up 50 MeghFarm processing units and PRIME Hubs.
