Prasuma became 1st Indian Food Brand to win International Taste Award.

• Prasuma, India's leading Frozen Foods brand has achieved an extraordinary milestone by becoming the first and only Indian food brand to win an International Taste Award.
• Prasuma's Spicy Chicken Momos and BBQ Chicken Bao Buns have both been awarded 2 stars out of 3 for the Superior Taste Award 2024 by the prestigious International Taste Institute in Brussels.

8-year-old Indian-origin boy Ashwath Kaushik beats Polish Grandmaster.

• 8-year-old Indian-origin boy Ashwath Kaushik became the youngest to beat a GM, beating Jacek Stopa of Poland.
• Ashwath Kaushik, who represented Singapore, defeated Stopa, who, at 37 is nearly 5 times older than him.
• The previous record was set when Serbia’s Leonid Ivanovic, who is several months older than Ashwath, beat Bulgarian grandmaster Milko Popchev at the Belgrade Open.

WHO launched digital health platform agreed in India’s G20 presidency.

• Digital health refers to the use of technology, such as mobile devices, software apps etc. to improve healthcare delivery.
• India’s CoWIN, UNICEF’s RapidPro and FamilyConnect etc. are few notable examples of digital health initiatives.
• The Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), launched by World Health Organization is a platform for sharing knowledge and digital products among countries.

Shashi Tharoor was conferred with France's highest civilian honour.

• Shashi Tharoor was conferred France's highest civilian honour "Chevalier de la Legion d'honneur" at a ceremony.
• The French government announced the award for Tharoor, a former Union minister, in August 2022.
• Author of several books and a Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Tharoor was conferred the prestigious award at the French Embassy by French Senate President Gerard Larcher.

Malta becomes 119th country to join International Solar Alliance.

• India has welcomed Malta as the 119th country to join the International Solar Alliance.
• Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Malta, Christopher Cutajar signed the ISA Framework Agreement in the presence of Head of Depository and Joint Secretary (Economic Diplomacy), Abhishek Singh in New Delhi.
• The ISA is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
