IIT Guwahati launches India's largest drone pilot training institute.

• IIT Guwahati, in collaboration with EduRade, launched India's largest Remote Pilot Training Organization to fly 9 medium-class drones simultaneously.
• The primary objective of this RPTO is to promote the advancement of drone technology in India.
• It aligns with the vision of PM Modi to establish India as a global drone hub by 2030, thereby contributing to the Namo Drone Didi initiative.

PM Modi inaugurates new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors at Kakrapara.

• PM Modi dedicated to the nation two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station: KAPS-3 and KAPS-4 for 22,500 crore rupees at Navsari in Gujarat.
• They are first-of-its-kind reactors and have advanced safety features comparable with the best in the world.
• Together, these two reactors will produce about 10.4 billion units of clean electricity per year.

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launches "Capacity Building Plan".

• Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the Annual Capacity Building Plan for the Railways Ministry.
• The annual plan has been crafted to ensure capacity building and holistic development of manpower keeping in mind National Priorities.
• It has helped them develop their capabilities to deliver the government’s services to the masses in a better manner.

Turkish 5th-gen fighter KAAN completes maiden flight.

• Turkey’s domestically built KAAN combat aircraft completed its first flight.
• The 5th-generation aircraft, dubbed KAAN, reached an altitude of 8,000 feet and achieved a speed of 230 knots.
• Turkey Defense Minister Yasar Gular announced that Ankara is in talks to buy 40 Eurofighter Typhoons.
• The US announced in late January that it is unfreezing a large deal of 40 new F-16 fighters to Turkey.

AAI achieves "Excellent" rating under MoU 2022-23.

• Airports Authority of India (AAI) has achieved Excellent rating under MoU 2022-23, signed with Ministry of Civil Aviation.
• The Department of Public Enterprises has communicated AAI’s MoU score of 91.50.
• AAI has incurred highest ever Capital Expenditure of Rs 5,175 crore under MoU 2022-23.
• The Excellent rating under MoU 2022-23 has paved a way for AAI to achieve higher scales in future.
