• Chalo India-Global Diaspora Campaign launched in Bangladesh at the Indian High Commission, part of a global initiative by PM Modi to boost tourism.
• PM Modi urged Indian diaspora to promote India tourism by inviting five non-Indian friends.
• Event attended by High Commissioner Pranay Verma, officials, and India's diaspora, highlighting the collaborative effort to strengthen ties.

Insurance Scheme launched for Indian workers in UAE.

• The Life Protection Plan targets Indian expatriates in the UAE, especially the 65% blue-collar workforce, providing natural death coverage and benefits for accidental death or disability.
• Offers comprehensive benefits including 24-hour global coverage, repatriation expenses up to AED 12,000, and compensation between Dh 35,000 and Dh 75,000.
• Initiated by Consulate General of India in Dubai.

Razorpay launches country’s first UPI-Led QR stack for enterprises.

• Razorpay introduced its latest innovation- India’s first UPI-Led QR Stack and card tap contactless payments device for Enterprises at the 5th edition of the flagship event, FTX’24.
• This all-in-one solution supports both QR-based and contactless tap card payments on a single device, priced affordably to drive digital payment adoption in larger retail spaces.

USIEF announces opening of Nehru Fellowship for Indians.

• The United States-India Educational Foundation has announced the opening of its annual competition for Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright fellowships for Indian citizens.
• It is funded by the Ministry of External Affairs and the U.S. Department of State.
• USIEF is now accepting applications from Indian citizens for the academic year 2025-26.

• Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa defeated Nodirbek Abdusattorov of Uzbekistan in the sixth round of the Prague International Chess Festival 2024 Masters to retain the fourth spot in the tournament.
