Gwalior Fort among the 6 heritage sites included in UNESCO list.

• 6 new sites from Madhya Pradesh have found place in the tentative UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

China’s Marriage Rates Rise for First Time in Nine Years.

• The data released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, 7.68 million newlyweds are registered in the country, representing a 12.4% increase compared to the previous year.
• China’s marriage rates have been declining for nearly a decade, with the last record high of 13.47 million marriages occurring in 2013.
• The one-child policy was introduced in China in 1980.

India to join U.S. led carbon market project under IPEF initiative.

• India has decided to join at least one of the four cooperative work programs unveiled under the clean energy pillar of the U.S.-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.
• The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) was launched in Tokyo by the US and other Indo-Pacific countries on 23 May 2022.
• It involves 14 IPEF partners.
