  • Now India leads globally with an estimated population of 144.17 crore, followed by China at 142.5 crore with 24% in the 0-14 age bracket.
  • The United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) State of World Population - 2024 report - Interwoven Lives, Threads of Hope: Ending Inequalities in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights - revealed that India's population is estimated to double in 77 years.

RSSDI & Koita Foundation launched new Centre for Digital Diabetology.

India clinches 2 silver, 2 bronze medals at Mathematical Olympiad 2024.

  • The Indian team showcased exceptional talent at the 13th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad 2024 held in Tskaltubo, Georgia, securing 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
  • Participants Gunjan Agarwal and Sanjana Philo Chacko won Silver, while Larissa and Saee Patil bagged Bronze.
