Dubai has launched a new long-term "Dubai Gaming Visa" for creators.

• This visa initiative is part of the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, designed to propel Dubai into the top 10 global gaming cities and enhance its digital economy.
• Aimed at increasing Dubai's GDP by approximately AED 3.6 billion ($1 billion) by 2033.
• It also aims to make Dubai a gaming hub by attracting 30,000 game developers by 2033.

Bhilai to set up Chhattisgarh's first 15-Mw floating solar plant.

• SAIL-Bhilai plans Chhattisgarh's inaugural 15-MW floating solar project in the Maroda-1 reservoir aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy.
• The project, located in Durg district, estimates an annual green power production of 34.26 million units, significantly cutting BSP's CO2 emissions by 28,330 tonnes. Completion is aimed for next year.

ISRO successfully tests 3D-printed Rocket Engine.

• ISRO successfully conducts a long-duration hot test of a PS4 rocket engine produced using 3D printing.
• The engine, made in a single piece through additive manufacturing, results in 97% raw material savings and 60% reduced production time.
• The engine was successfully tested for the full qualification duration of 665 seconds.
• It was developed by ISRO's Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre.

Nepal’s "Everest Man" beats own record by climbing summit for 29 times.

• Kami Rita Sherpa, a renowned Nepali mountaineer, successfully summits Mount Everest for the 29th time, surpassing his world record.
• He has scaled the 8,849-meter (29,032-foot) peak almost every year since his first successful ascent in 1994.
• Mount Everest is Earth's highest (8,849 m) mountain above sea level.
• First ascenders: Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay.

Idashisha Nongrang appointed first woman police DGP of Meghalaya.

• Idashisha Nongrang breaks barriers as the first woman and tribal lady to become the Director General of Police (DGP) in Meghalaya, taking office on May 20, 2024.
• Appointed from a UPSC-recommended list, Nongrang, with a stellar background in civil defence and as SP, East Khasi Hills, assumes the role for two years.
• She is set to take charge after retirement of the incumbent LR Bishnoi.
