Three Indian classics joined UNESCO Memory Of The World Register.

• UNESCO’s Memory of the World Asia-Pacific Regional Register added Ramcharitmanas, Panchatantra, and Sahṛdayāloka-Locana to celebrate and preserve diverse narratives.
• Authored by Goswami Tulsidas, Pt. Vishnu Sharma, and Acharya Anandvardhan respectively, these works highlight India’s rich literary heritage.
• This was recognized at the 10th MOWCAP meeting in Ulaanbaatar.

China becomes the largest trading partner of India in FY24.

• China has emerged as the largest trading partner of India with $ 118.4 billion two-way commerce in 2023-24.
• The bilateral trade between India and the US stood at $ 118.3 billion in 2023-24.
• India's exports to China rose by 8.7% to $ 16.67 billion in the last fiscal.
• Imports from the US also grew by 14.7%, from $ 35.55 billion to $ 40.78 billion.

India and Moldova agreement on Visa Exemption on Passport.

• India and Moldova signed an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passports.
• This agreement permits passport holders from both countries to travel to each other's nations without a visa.
• Diplomatic relations between India and Moldova were established on 20 March 1992.
• The agreement was signed between Pawan Kapoor, Secretary, MEA, and Anna Taban, Ambassador of Moldova.

Aman Sehrawat becomes 1st Indian Male Wrestler to qualify for olympics.

• Aman Sehrawat has become the first Indian male wrestler to secure a quota place for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
• Asian champion Sehrawat secured a Paris quota in the men’s 57kg freestyle category at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul, Turkiye.
• Sehrawat beat Chongsong Han of Korea 12-2 in the semi-final for India’s sixth quota in wrestling for the 2024 Olympics.

India debuts at World Hydrogen Summit 2024.

• India inaugurated its first-ever pavilion at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, highlighting advancements under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
• The mission, aimed at a 5 MMT green hydrogen production by 2030, has already seen tenders for 412,000 tons of production and 1,500 MW of electrolyzer capacity.
• The initiative also includes launch of a dedicated portal & innovation clusters.
