- India’s foreign exchange reserves surged for the second straight week, by USD 2.561 billion to USD 644.151 billion in the week that ended on May 10.
- The nation’s foreign exchange reserves had recently achieved an all-time high of USD 648.562 billion.
- However, in 2024, foreign exchange reserves have cumulatively increased by about USD 23 billion so far.

New Permanent Judges for Gauhati HC Appointed by Supreme Court.
- The Supreme Court Collegium has endorsed Justice Susmita Phukan Khaund and Justice Mitali Thakuria as permanent Judges of the Gauhati High Court.
- Additionally, Justice Rajesh Sekhri's appointment as an Additional Judge in the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has been extended for another year from 29 July 2024.
- The decision was made by Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud.
