Cyber Security Conclave is organized in New Delhi.

• A cyber security conclave focused on strategies to combat increasing cyber threats.
• It was organized with joint efforts by CSC and United Service Institution.
• During this, an MoU was signed between CSC and USI to strengthen cyber security.
• Discussions included enhancing cybersecurity resilience, cost-effective solutions, and Cyber Rakshak program, which trains women in cyber security skills.

New plant species discovered from Edamalayar forest range.

• Scientists discovered a new gooseberry species, Emblica Chakrabartyi, in Kerala's Edamalayar forest range.
• Named after botanist Tapas Chakrabarty, the species was identified during a UGC-sponsored research project, with around 55 plants found.
• The discovery has been published in the Nordic Journal of Botany, highlighting significant contributions to the study of the Phyllanthaceae family.

Payal Kapadia wins Grand Prix at Cannes, makes history.

• Payal Kapadia won the Grand Prix for her film All We Imagine as Light, making her the first Indian filmmaker to achieve this.
• The film is the 1st Indian movie in 30 years and the 1st by an Indian female director to be showcased in the main competition.
• The Indo-French production tells the story of a nurse named Prabha and an unexpected gift from her estranged husband, directed by Kapadia.

Indian Pharma giant inaugurates new plant in Bangladesh.

• Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman inaugurated Sun Pharma's new plant near Dhaka, aiming for over 1 billion annual production capacity.
• Highlighting Bangladesh's growth in generic drug manufacturing, Verma emphasized India's role in meeting 30% of Bangladesh's API demand and the opportunities for joint ventures and R&D partnerships.

Severe "Cyclone Remal" to hit Bengal coast.

• Cyclone Remal, with wind speeds up to 135 km/h, will make landfall between West Bengal and Bangladesh by midnight.
• Extremely heavy rainfall is forecasted for coastal districts of West Bengal and north Odisha from May 26-27, and for northeast India on May 27-28.
• Precautionary measures include suspending flights in Kolkata, deploying disaster relief teams, and warning fishermen to avoid the sea.
