Income Tax department notified cost inflation index for current fiscal.

• The newly notified Cost Inflation Index (CII) for the FY 2024-25 at 363, is an increase from the previous fiscal year's CII of 348, corresponding to an annual inflation rate of 4.3%.
• The CII is a crucial tool used in calculating long-term capital gains arising from the sale of immovable property, securities, and jewellery.
