Netherlands emerges as India's 3rd largest export destination in 23-24.

  • The Netherlands has emerged as India's third largest export destination after the US and UAE during 2023-24, even as the country's merchandise shipments dipped by over 3%.

Hyderabad is no longer the common capital of Telangana and Andhra.

  • 10 years after the day when Telangana and Andhra became two separate states, Hyderabad will no longer be the common capital for both.
  • As per the provisions of the Reorganisation Act, 2014, Hyderabad technically served as the common capital for both states since June 2, 2014.

James Webb telescope discovers 2 earliest galaxies in the universe.

  • The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has discovered the two earliest and most distant galaxies, JADES-GS-z14-0 and JADES-GS-z14-1, dating back to 300 million years after the Big Bang.
  • JADES-GS-z14-0, the larger of the two, spans an estimated 1,600 light-years.
  • The galaxies were spotted in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field.
