Central Govt to construct 3 crore more houses under PMAY.

• The government decided to provide assistance to construct 3 crore rural and urban houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
• Under PMAY, a total of 4.21 crore houses have been completed for eligible poor families under the housing schemes in the last 10 years.
• All the houses constructed under PMAY are provided with basic amenities such as household toilets, LPG, and electricity.

GAIL to set up India’s largest KTA Ethane Cracker project in MP.

• GAIL has plans to set up India’s largest, 1,500-KTA Ethane Cracker Project at Ashta in the Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh (MP).
• The product will entail an investment of around Rs 60,000 crore.
• Madhya Pradesh state government will provide Around 800 hectares of land for the plan.

Sub-Lt Anamika Rajeev became Indian Navy’s first woman chopper pilot.

• Sub-Lieutenant Anamika B Rajeev became the Indian Navy’s first woman helicopter pilot, awarded the Golden Wings at INS Rajali, Tamil Nadu.
• Lt Jamyang Tsewang, first naval officer from Ladakh, also graduated as a helicopter pilot at the same event.
• In 2018, flying officer Avani Chaturvedi of Indian Air Force scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman to fly a fighter aircraft solo.

India EXIM Bank boosted East Africa presence, opened Nairobi office.

• India Exim Bank has opened a new representative office in Nairobi to expand India's business presence in East Africa.
• The office aims to enhance trade and investment between India, Kenya, and the broader East African region.
• The Export-Import Bank of India is a statutory financial institution in India, established in 1982.
• Its function is to finance & promote India's international trade.

Ashis Kumar Dash appointed as Director in NITI Aayog.

• Ashis Kumar Dash has been selected for the appointment as Director in NITI Aayog recommended by the Department of Commerce.
• Dash is an Indian Trade Service (ITradeS) service officer of the 2008 batch.
• Arvind Kumar appointed as Deputy Secretary in NITI Aayog recommended by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme.
• Kumar is an Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer of the 2015 batch.
