  • Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd., led by Dr. Shivani Verma, developed Divya Drishti, an AI tool integrating facial recognition and gait analysis for enhanced personal identification.
  • The AI tool has been developed under the technical guidance and mentoring of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, a laboratory of DRDO based in Bangalore.

India’s Forex Reserves reach record high of 655.817 Billion USD.

  • India's forex reserves hit an all-time high of 655.817 billion USD for the week ending June 7.
  • The reserves had previously jumped by 4.837 billion USD to 651.51 billion USD, surpassing the previous record of 648.87 billion USD set on May 10.
  • A significant portion of this increase came from foreign currency assets, which rose by 3.773 billion USD to reach 576.337 billion USD.


Shruti Vora, the first Indian to win 3-Star Grand Prix in Equestrian.

  • Shruti Vora won the three-star Grand Prix event in the FEI Dressage World Cup in Lipica, Slovenia, with 67.761 points, riding Magnanimous.

DRDO Initiated Development of Underwater-Launch UAVs.

  • DRDO partnered with Pune's Sagar Defence Engineering to develop India's first underwater-launched UAVs (ULUAVs).
  • These innovative drones, to be deployed from submarines, mark a significant advancement in India's underwater military capabilities.
  • Sagar Defence was chosen through competitive bidding, receiving the contract from DRDO's Technology Development Fund out of 17 firms.
