• India ranked 63rd on the World Economic Forum's Global Energy Transition Index.
• European nations dominated the top ranks with Sweden topping the index, followed by Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, and France in the top five.
• 107 of the 120 countries benchmarked in the report demonstrated progress in energy transition journeys in the past decade.

Bharat 6G Alliance forms strategic partnerships to boost 6G Innovation.

• The Bharat 6G Alliance signed MoUs with 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G IA) and 6G Flagship- Oulu University, Finland, to enhance global connectivity, building on a previous MoU with NextG Alliance of the USA.
• These partnerships will facilitate secure, resilient telecommunication technology development, aligning EU and Indian R&D efforts.

India launches first National Additive Manufacturing Symposium.

• The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology inaugurated the first National Additive Manufacturing Symposium (NAMS) 2024, releasing an Additive Manufacturing Landscape Report and unveiling an indigenous AM machine.
• It highlighted AM’s potential to boost manufacturing efficiency, stronger industry connections, building on the 2022 National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing (NSAM).

Indian Army Launches First-of-its-Kind Skin Bank for Severe Burns.

• This bank will serve as a centralized hub for the collection, processing, storage and distribution of skin grafts.
• The Army Hospital (Research and Referral) announced the opening of the skin bank facility, a first-of-its-kind to be established within the Armed Forces Medical Services.

IIT-Delhi Wins Award for Innovative Antimicrobial Resistance Project.

• IIIT-Delhi secured joint second prize in the Trinity Challenge for its AMRSense project, aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
• The initiative involved key partners like CHRI-PATH, 1mg.com, and ICMR, focusing on community health data integration and predictive analytics.
• AMRSense empowers community health workers with AI tools, and integrates antibiotic usage data.
