Ladakh achieved Full Functional Literacy under ULLAS program.

  • Lt. Gov. of Ladakh, Dr B D Mishra, declared Ladakh as the first administrative unit to achieve Full Functional Literacy under the ULLAS scheme.
  • The ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram, or New India Literacy Programme (NILP), is a centrally sponsored scheme aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
  • It aims to empower adults aged 15 and above who missed formal schooling.


Principal Scientific Adviser Inaugurated Quantum Security Research Lab.

  • On the 23rd Foundation Day of Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS) in Chennai, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood inaugurated the Quantum Security Research Lab in Chennai.
  • SETS, initiated by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in 2002, collaborates with academic and governmental bodies to develop solutions like Post Quantum VPN and Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG).


C-DAC and AICTE partner to boost high performance computing education.

  • C-DAC and AICTE signed a Memorandum of Agreement to develop human resources in High Performance Computing (HPC) and allied areas.
  • The initiative aims to enhance teaching skills, offer courses, and align education with industry needs.
  • Under the National Supercomputing Mission, this collaboration expects to train 2,500 faculty members and educate 50,000 students in HPC.
