World Bank Approves $1.5 Billion Loan for India's Green Hydrogen Push.

• The World Bank approved a $1.5 billion loan to support India's low-carbon energy development, specifically for promoting green hydrogen and renewable energy.
• This is the second funding round, following a similar $1.5 billion approval in June 2023 aimed at low-carbon energy development.
• India's targets of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030 and net zero by 2070.

IMF Artificial Intelligence Preparedness Index 2024.

• The IMF released an Artificial Intelligence Preparedness Index Dashboard tracking 174 economies globally for AI readiness.
• The Index ranks India at the 72nd position, with Bangladesh (0.38) at 113, Sri Lanka (0.43) at 92, and China (0.63) at 31.
• Singapore (0.80), Denmark (0.78), and the United States (0.77) are among the highest-rated AEs, with India categorized as an EM with a 0.49 rating.

DRDO's "ABHYAS" Successfully Completes Developmental Trials.

• DRDO completed six consecutive development trials of the High-Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) ABHYAS at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha.
• With these trials, ABHYAS has achieved a total of 10 development trials, demonstrating its reliability.
• Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Larsen & Toubro have been chosen as the companies that will make it.

Assam Introduces 1st Witness Protection Scheme for Justice Delivery.

• Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma approved the state's first witness protection scheme to ensure fair justice by protecting witnesses from threats during investigations and trials.
• The scheme includes in-camera trials, security devices at witnesses' homes, close protection, temporary relocation, and government vehicle provision on hearing dates.

CloudThat Wins Microsoft Training Services Partner of the Year Award.

• CloudThat, a cloud training and consulting services company, won the Microsoft Training Services Partner of the Year Award for 2024.
• The award recognizes CloudThat's excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
• It is the first India-headquartered company to receive this award.
