India Ranks Fifth in GenAI Innovations, China Leads.

  • India ranks 5th globally in Generative AI patents with 1,350 patents, trailing China (38,210), the US (6,276), South Korea (4,155), and Japan (3,409).
  • Despite holding only 3% of total GenAI patents, India recorded the highest annual growth rate in GenAI patent publications at 56%.
  • India has also overtaken the UK (714 patents) and Germany (708) regarding the number of GenAI patents published.


India Provides $2.5 Million Line of Credit for Solar Plant in Guyana.

  • The Export-Import Bank of India signed an agreement with the Government of Guyana to extend a line of credit worth USD 2.5 million for the installation of a solar photovoltaic power plant at Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana.
  • At least 75% of the contract value will be sourced from Indian suppliers.
  • The agreement has a disbursement deadline of 48 months post-project completion.


Maharashtra Wins Best Agriculture State Award 2024.

Uttar Pradesh Waives Registration Tax on Strong Hybrids.

  • UP govt has implemented a policy granting a 100% waiver on the registration fee for hybrid vehicles.
  • This policy benefits manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and Honda Cars, as well as customers, who can save up to ₹3.5 lakh on vehicle purchases.
  • The state previously levied an 8% road tax on vehicles priced below ₹10 lakh and a 10% tax on vehicles priced above ₹10 lakh.
