UAE launched trial operation of World's First 3D-Printed Abra.

• Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has commenced the trial operation of the world's first electric abra manufactured using 3D printing technology.
• The abra can carry 20 passengers and is designed to retain the traditional abra identity.
• The abra features an 11-meter-long monocoque structure, having an electric propulsion system powered by two 10-kilowatt motors and lithium batteries.

Kerala retained top rank in NITI Aayog's SDG India Index 2023-24.

• Uttarakhand and Kerala have emerged as the top performer states in NITI Aayog's SDG India Index 2023-24.
• Bihar Jharkhand and Nagaland have been adjudged as the worst performers.
• Among the union territories, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Delhi were the top five performers.

Nirma University won Robot Competition DD-Robocon India 2024.

• The team from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, clinched the title at the DD-Robocon India 2024, held in New Delhi.
• They will represent India at the international Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robocon 2024 in Quang Ninh, Vietnam.
• Organized by Prasar Bharati and IIT Delhi, DD-Robocon India 2024 aims to foster technical skill developmen and teamwork among engineering students.

The Art of Living won two prestigious CSR Awards for social work.

• The Art of Living, under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, received two significant CSR awards in 2024 for its exceptional contributions to social and environmental sustainability.
• It was honored with this award at the Global CSR & ESG Awards for its impactful water conservation initiatives.
• In the year, it also received this award for the JalTara Project at the NGI CSR Summit.

Carlos Alcaraz won second consecutive Wimbledon Title.

• Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz won his second straight Wimbledon title by defeating Novak Djokovic in the final at the centre court in London.
• Barbora Krejcikova of Czech Republic defeated Jasmine Paolini of Italy to win her first Wimbledon women’s singles title.
• The Wimbledon Championships, the oldest tennis tournament, has been held at All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London.
