• In 2023, 733 million people faced hunger, with 1 in 11 globally and 1 in 5 in Africa affected.
• Hunger rose in Africa and Western Asia, remained stable in Asia, and showed improvement in Latin America.
• In 2023, 2.33 billion people experienced moderate or severe food insecurity, and over 2.8 billion couldn't afford a healthy diet, highlighting economic access disparities.

Manu Bhaker won Bronze in 10m Air Pistol at Paris 2024 Olympics.

• Manu Bhaker won bronze in the women's 10m air pistol at Paris 2024, becoming the first Indian female shooter to win an Olympic medal and the first to reach an Olympic final in the last 20 years.
• Manu Bhaker became the fifth Indian shooter to clinch a medal in the Olympic Games after Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Abhinav Bindra, Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang.

Sri Lanka won maiden Women's Asia Cup Title.
