  • Delhi Airport ranks 24th globally for megahubs and 5th for low-cost carrier (LCC) operations, improving from last year.
  • Mumbai Airport drops to 44th in megahub rankings but maintains 11th place for LCC operations.
  • Global Top 5 Megahubs: London Heathrow, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo-Haneda, Amsterdam Schiphol, and Seoul Incheon.
  • LCC Megahub Leaders: Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Incheon, and Singapore Changi.


Food Corporation of India launched "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign.

  • It was launched across 760 locations nationwide.
  • The campaign focuses on three pillars: enhancing cleanliness in FCI facilities, encouraging public participation & providing health check-ups for sanitation workers.
  • The campaign, themed Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata, aims to integrate cleanliness into FCI's food security operations and will be monitored on the SHS Portal.


Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav website launched to promote North-East India.

  • Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia launched the official website for the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav, set to be held from December 6-8, 2024, in New Delhi.
  • The festival will showcase the cultural and economic heritage of Northeast India, featuring textiles, crafts & GI products from the region’s eight states.
  • The website, www.ashtalakshmimahotsav.com, will provide event updates & participation details.


BRICS Literature Forum 2024 kicked off in Kazan, Russia.

  • The theme of the 2024 edition of Literary BRICS is, World literature in the new reality. Dialogue of traditions, national values and cultures.
