Three IIMs and ISB Hyderabad Among World's Top 100 MBA Programs.

  • The QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings 2025 released on September 25, 2024.
  • The three IIMs are IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta.
  • IIM Kozhikode debuted in the 151-200 band.

SEBI required UPI for debt security bids up to ₹5 Lakh.

  • Sebi mandates individual investors to use UPI for blocking funds when applying for public debt securities up to ₹5 lakh through intermediaries.
  • Investors must provide a UPI ID linked to their bank account in the bid-cum-application form, effective from November 1, 2024.
  • The directive aims to protect investor interests and regulate the securities market.


Mankidia community, a PVTG, gained Habitat Rights under FRA in Odisha.

  • The Mankidia community, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), has been granted habitat rights over forests in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) 2006.
  • They are the 6th PVTG in Odisha to gain these rights, following Paudi Bhuyan.
  • Odisha leads the nation in FRA implementation, providing legal claims over forest land & supporting their traditional practices.


CM-SATH Scheme launched in Tripura to support meritorious students.

  • Tripura CM Manik Saha launched the CM-SATH scheme in Agartala, aimed at providing financial support to 200 meritorious students for higher education.
  • The top 100 students from Madhyamik exams will receive ₹5,000 per month for 2 years, while 100 higher secondary students will be supported for 3 years.
  • Initiative will cost the state ₹1.2 crore in the 1st year, gradually increasing to ₹3 crore.


Madhya Pradesh conducts India's first paperless election.

  • Madhya Pradesh held its 1st completely paperless election for the post of sarpanch in Ratua Ratanpur, eliminating paper usage throughout the process.
  • This initiative, led by the state election commission, aims to simplify and enhance the transparency of voting for panchayats and urban bodies.
