PM Modi Unveils Four Bio-Gas Units in Assam.

• On October 2, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the construction of four compressed bio-gas plants in Assam, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 programme.
• The locations for these key projects include Guwahati, Jorhat, Sivasagar, and Tinsukia.
• Oil India Ltd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, plans to establish a total of 25 CBG plants by 2024-25.

Kho Kho World Cup Debuts in India in 2025.

• Kho Kho Federation of India and the International Kho Kho Federation have announced that the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup will take place in India in 2025.
• The event will witness the participation of 24 countries from 6 continents, featuring 16 men’s and as many women’s teams.
• Ahead of the World Cup, the KKFI plans to take the sport to 200 schools across 10 cities to promote the sport.

Reliance Group to Invest in Bhutan's Renewable Energy Sector.

• Reliance Enterprises, a new company set up by Reliance Infrastructure Ltd and Reliance Power Ltd, will focus on investments in Bhutan's renewable energy sector, particularly in solar and hydropower.
• The group plans to develop a 500 MW solar plant in two phases and collaborate with Druk Holding to develop the 770 MW Chamkharchhu-1 hydro project under a run-of-the-river model.

NITI Aayog Launches First Women Entrepreneurship Platform Chapter.

• NITI Aayog, with WE Hub and Telangana, launched the first State Chapter of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP).
• WEP aims to support women entrepreneurs with resources, mentorship, digital skills, and financial services.
• WE Hub CEO Sita Pallocholla is Mission Director; the platform plans to boost grassroots entrepreneurship in all Telangana mandals.

World Green Economy Forum Launched in Dubai.

• Dubai's World Green Economy Forum, under Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's patronage, focused on climate change, decarbonization, and sustainability solutions.
