India Ranks 79th in Global Rule of Law Index 2024.

  • India placed 79th out of 142 countries in the 2024 Rule of Law Index by the World Justice Project; Denmark, Norway, and Finland top the list.
  • Within South Asia, India ranked third after Nepal (69) and Sri Lanka (75), followed by Bangladesh (127) Pakistan (129), and Afghanistan (140).
  • Venezuela got the lowest rank and placed at 142.


India’s First Writers’ Village Opens Near Dehradun.

  • The launch event includes a three-day International Literature, Art, and Culture Festival with representatives from over 65 countries.

Rajasthan Village Moves Towards Zero-Waste Model with Green Technology.

  • Aandhi village in Jaipur is adopting a zero-waste model by converting food, agro, hospital, and wastewater into resources using green technology.
  • Key technologies include Organic Waste Bio-Methanation Plant, Vermifiltration, Constructed Wetlands, and a Resource Recovery Centre.
  • The 100 Kg Bio-Methanation Plant at the government school produces biogas and electricity with solar support.


Nita Ambani Launched Free Healthcare Plan for Women and Children.

  • The New Health Seva Plan launched by Nita Ambani on the 10th anniversary of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, provides free healthcare services to over 1,00,000 underprivileged women and children.
  • It includes congenital heart disease screenings for 50,000 children, cancer screenings for 50,000 women, and cervical cancer vaccinations for 10,000 adolescent girls.


China to launch its fourth manned mission for space station.

  • China announced the Shenzhou-19 mission, to be launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre to replace the crew on its space station.
  • The mission will be carried by a Long March-2F rocket, with a 3-member team, including a woman, set to stay on the low-orbit station for 6 months.
  • The launch details were shared by Lin Xiqiang, deputy director of the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).
