India Hosts South Asian Nations for Telecom Regulation Event.

  • TRAI Chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti was appointed chair of SATRC for the upcoming year.
  • The SATRC meeting was organized by the Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT).

Koreasat 6A Communications Satellite Successfully Launched.

  • The Koreasat 6A communications satellite was launched successfully via SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.
  • Designed by Thales Alenia Space, South Korea’s satellite communications operator, Koreasat 6A is set to replace the existing Koreasat 6 satellite.
  • The satellite, based on the Spacebus 4000B2 platform, will provide fixed and broadcast satellite services from its geostationary slot at 116° East.
