RBI designated SBI, HDFC & ICICI Bank as D-SIBs.

• SBI, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank are named as India's Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) for 2024 by the RBI.
• These banks are often referred to as "Too Big To Fail (TBTF)" because their failure could have catastrophic consequences for the financial system.
• Thus these banks have to maintain additional cash buffer reserves, so that they may never go bankrupt.

Hyderabad Airport won Global Accolades for Digital Innovations.

• GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) won awards at the Airport Excellence Awards during the Saudi Airport Exhibition 2024 for its digital innovations.
• GHIAL's Digital Twin innovation secured awards in the Innovation and Technology and Facility Management categories.
• The awards ceremony took place on November 12 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Nvidia and SoftBank pilot world's first AI and 5G telecom network.

• Nvidia and SoftBank have introduced the world’s first AI and 5G telecom network, which runs AI and 5G workloads simultaneously, known as AI-RAN (Artificial Intelligence Radio Access Network).
• The network is designed for advanced use cases like autonomous vehicle remote support and robotics control.
• SoftBank is the first to integrate Nvidia's new Blackwell chip into its AI supercomputer.

IIT Indore's Development of Intelligent Receivers for 6G.

• IIT Indore, led by Dr. Swaminathan R, is developing intelligent receivers to enhance 6G and military communication security, enabling them to detect and decode modulation, coding, and interleaving methods.
• This technology simplifies communication by adapting to challenging noise and interference conditions, reducing the need for multiple receivers.

Pankaj Advani bags record 28th World Billiards title.

• Pankaj Advani clinched a historic 28th world title, seventh in a row, defeating England’s Robert Hall 4-2 at the IBSF World Billiards Championship in Doha.
• Advani has also won two gold medals at the Asian Games (2006 and 2010 editions).
• Awards: Arjuna Award for Billiards & Snooker, Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri.
