NITI Aayog Launches "Fiscal Health Index 2025".

  • NITI Aayog launched the inaugural Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2025 on January 24, 2025, to evaluate the fiscal health of 18 major Indian states, ranking them based on five sub-indices: Quality of Expenditure, Revenue Mobilisation, Fiscal Prudence, Debt Index, and Debt Sustainability.
  • Odisha topped the rankings with a composite score of 67.8, followed by Chhattisgarh (55.2) and Goa (53.6).
