• Rohit Sharma, captain of India’s T20 World Cup-winning team, leads the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year, joined by Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh.
• Rohit scored 378 runs at a 160+ strike rate, including three fifties, guiding India to the title.

Jyothi Yarraji Wins Gold, Breaks National Record in France.

• Jyothi Yarraji clinched gold in the women’s 60m indoor hurdles at the Meeting de Nantes Métropole 2025, setting a new national record of 8.04 seconds.
• She improved her previous record of 8.12 seconds from the 2024 Asian Indoor Championships.
• Another Indian, Tejas Shirse, also set a new national record in the men's 60m hurdles, clocking 7.65 seconds in Luxembourg.

NITI Aayog Launches "Fiscal Health Index 2025".

• NITI Aayog launched the inaugural Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2025 on January 24, 2025, to evaluate the fiscal health of 18 major Indian states, ranking them based on five sub-indices: Quality of Expenditure, Revenue Mobilisation, Fiscal Prudence, Debt Index, and Debt Sustainability.
• Odisha topped the rankings with a composite score of 67.8, followed by Chhattisgarh (55.2) and Goa (53.6).
