5th Khelo India Winter Games Conclude in Ladakh.

• Union Territory of Ladakh finished atop the Khelo India Winter Games 2025.
• KIWG 2025 toppers Ladakh (7 medals, including four golds) were followed by Tamil Nadu (five medals including three golds).
• Maharashtra finished with the maximum number of medals (10) but only two golds meant they finished third.
• Over 400 athletes participated.

Smriti Mandhana Wins ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024.

• Smriti Mandhana, India's vice-captain, scored a record 747 runs in 13 ODI innings in 2024, the highest among all players.
• This marks her third ICC accolade, previously winning ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year in 2018 and 2022.
• Mandhana outperformed leading ODI run-getters, including Laura Wolvaardt (697) and Tammy Beaumont (554).

RBI Plans ₹1.1 Lakh Crore Liquidity Infusion.

• RBI to inject ₹1.1 lakh crore via open market operations, repo auctions, and a $5 billion dollar-rupee swap to address liquidity deficit.
• ₹60,000 crore in government securities to be purchased in tranches; ₹50,000 crore repo auction set for February 7.
• New liquidity norms effective April 1 focus on internet banking risks and higher-quality liquid assets.

Jasprit Bumrah Wins ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year 2024.

• Jasprit Bumrah claimed 71 wickets in 13 Tests, averaging 14.92, showcasing exceptional consistency.
• His lethal yorkers and match-winning spells were pivotal to India’s success across formats in 2024.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Utkarsh Odisha, Make-in-Odisha Conclave at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
